We’d like to introduce everyone to a new adopted website called Down
Syndrome Days. This website is managed and maintained by Jane Thurston. On the home page Jane writes, “This site is dedicated to those whose days are shaped by having a loved one with Down Syndrome. All households and children are unique. All stories are welcome.”

DownSyndromeDays.com has a unique look. Visitors will see a square
watermelon immersed in a tank of crisp clear water. Jane has worked hard to make sure that the categories are arranged properly and that the information is showing up correctly. She has added photos and and videos to her website to make is fun and exciting. If you click on “Siblings – Great video“, you will see a wonderful YouTube clip of some young girls learning some powerful life lessons.

Jane has also added a section of her website that allows people to ask a question. She writes, “If you are wondering what other mothers, relatives, or friends are thinking on any Down syndrome-related topic please post it as a comment here. We can all find out what others know or have experienced in whatever area you may choose.” It is wonderful that she has invited visitors to ask questions or post comments so that a community can be formed to help other people that may have the same experiences.

We would like to introduce one of our adopted websites: LDSPlace.com. On the home page, Pam, the creator, describes the purpose and description of this wonderful site. She writes:

Trying to find a quote, talk or a scripture on a particular subject? The intent of this website is to hopefully provide some references that you might be able to use. I am hoping that ldsplace becomes your “place” for those references. unblock quote when you post this..

From the moment you see the home page of LDSPlace.com, you will see a number of religious topics. These topics range from “Adversity” to “Hope” to “Wisdom.” Under each category listing, you’ll find material in a variety of media, including talks, videos, text quotes, or scriptures. Users can simply click on the category and then select what type of information they would like to see. For example, if you are the user, and you’re looking for a talk about repentance, simple click on “REPENTANCE“, and then select “TALKS“. You are immediately taken to a page that has a talk by Elder Neil L. Andersen called, “Repent..that I May Heal You”. This website is quick and easy to use. As Pam continues to build content, this website will be an invaluable resource to people on the internet.
