How to Support Faith-Promoting Videos Online

You will need an account on YouTube.  To sign up for an account, you will need an email address.  If you already have an email address, please skip this section and start at “Sign up for YouTube”

Obtain an Email Account from Gmail:

1 – Open up Internet Explorer and enter www.gmail.com in the top address bar

2 – On the right side, towards the bottom of the page, click the link for “Sign up for Gmail.”

3 – On the next page, fill out the form with your information.  Use the “check availability” button to see if the name you want for your email account is available.  Click “I accept, create my account.”

4 – On the next page, click “I’m ready – show me my account.”  This will take you into your email account.  You can get into your email account by going to www.gmail.com and entering your username and password.  If you have any questions about how to use your email account, click on the “Help” link at the top right of the page once you are in your email account, or go to this web address: http://mail.google.com/support 

Sign up for YouTube

1 – Go to www.youtube.com

2 – On the top right, click the link for “Sign Up.”  

3 – On the right-side column, fill out the form under “Create Your YouTube Account.” Use the email address you just created (username@gmail.com.) Then click “Sign Up.”

4 – Go back to your email account (www.gmail.com) and open the email from YouTube Service.  Click on the link in that email to “Confirm your email.”

5 – The link will take you to YouTube.com and you will be logged in with your account.   From now on, you will only need to go to www.youtube.com. If when you go to www.youtube.com, and you do not see your username at the top right, click on the link “Log In” and enter your username and password to sign on.  

More Good Foundation Videos: Subscribe, View, Rate, and Comment 

A great place to start is at MoreGoodFoundation’s page on Youtube.  Here we have uploaded our own videos, plus we subscribe to several other members on YouTube who contribute great videos.  If you find other members showing great faith promoting videos, please share them with MoreGoodFoundation, so we can add them to our subscription.

1 – To view our page, go to http://youtube.com/user/moregoodfoundation

2 – On the top left, click the orange button to “Subscribe.”  

3 – Return to the MoreGoodFoundation page by hitting the back button or by going to http://youtube.com/user/moregoodfoundation . 

4 – On the right, you will see a heading for “Videos.”   Under that heading, you will see all the videos we have uploaded.  You can click on any of these videos to be taken to a new page where you can watch the video.  

5 – Underneath the video, you will see a heart and a link for “Favorite.”  Click this link and it will be added to your favorite videos.  This is a great way for you to keep track of the videos that you like, plus visitors to your page can click on your favorite link and see all of your favorite videos.

6 – Underneath the favorite link, you will see “Rate” and five stars next to it. Please rate the video by clicking on the appropriate star.  If you place your mouse on the 5th star, all the stars will turn red. Click the 5th star to give an “Awesome” rating.

7 – If comments have been allowed for the video, please leave a comment for the person who created/uploaded it.  Make your comments unique and applicable to the video.  We want to encourage and thank those who are creating and uploading these great videos.  Some videos do no not allow comments, and some times you will need to wait for your comments to be approved by the member.

Doing More: View Other Videos, Rate, Comment, and Subscribe 

In addition to videos we have uploaded, you can also view videos from members we subscribe to. It is really important that we support other YouTube members for their creation and uploading of these wonderful videos.

1 – Return to our page (http://youtube.com/user/moregoodfoundation) and click on “Subscriptions.” This link is on the top of the page towards the right, or you also find it in the left column, middle of the page, and click on “See all subscriptions.”

2 – After you select a member, you will be taken to their page, which will be just like the MoreGoodFoundation page.

3 – Follow all the steps under “View, Rate, and Comment.”
