We’d like to introduce everyone to a new adopted website called Down
Syndrome Days
. This website is managed and maintained by Jane Thurston. On the home page Jane writes, “This site is dedicated to those whose days are shaped by having a loved one with Down Syndrome. All households and children are unique. All stories are welcome.”

DownSyndromeDays.com has a unique look. Visitors will see a square
watermelon immersed in a tank of crisp clear water. Jane has worked hard to make sure that the categories are arranged properly and that the information is showing up correctly. She has added photos and and videos to her website to make is fun and exciting. If you click on “Siblings – Great video“, you will see a wonderful YouTube clip of some young girls learning some powerful life lessons.

Jane has also added a section of her website that allows people to ask a question. She writes, “If you are wondering what other mothers, relatives, or friends are thinking on any Down syndrome-related topic please post it as a comment here. We can all find out what others know or have experienced in whatever area you may choose.” It is wonderful that she has invited visitors to ask questions or post comments so that a community can be formed to help other people that may have the same experiences.

Please take a few minutes and visit and look around: http://www.downsyndromedays.com

Thank you, Jane, for your dedication and willingness to adopt a website and fill it with content that will help families around the world whether they are members of the LDS Church (Mormons) or not.

Is This for Me?

Adopting a website may sound trickier than it is.  If you’ve been stirred by Elder Ballard’s, Elder Nelson’s, and others’ talks of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (”Mormons”), and would like to participate in the online discussion about who we really are as members, we can help you find a niche in the online world.  You can adopt a website URL and have us, the More Good Foundation, host your site. We will help you, with personal training or screencasts, to  do it all–from downloading your template design to posting your first bit of content or video.  For those who are more advanced Internet users, we can provide the hosting service, or guide you in making your posts more accessible to friends of other faiths.
